Greenville House - Staying Healthy, Safe and Grateful

0
GREENVILLE, PA – Social distancing is very hard on everyone but can be especially harder on the elderly.  With this in mind, the Greenville Area Community has been very good to Greenville House!

Molly Carter and her Let’s Make Masks group and Christine Keeley and her group Days for Girls generously donated over 200 masks to keep our tenants safe and in compliance with Governor Wolfe’s Order.  A Greenville resident and local realtor, Patty McCluskey, generously donated goodies and helped make up bags to give the tenants.  The bags had cookies, fruit, an ice cream treat and other snacks in them.  Ms. McCluskey was looking for a way to honor her late husband Larry Shonka as well as to celebrate her recent birthday. Patty thought of Greenville House and wanted to do something special for the tenants. Local church children have made cards for the tenants. Word of Life Christian Center sent an Easter card to each of our tenants.

According to the manager, Jackie Kovach, the staff is very diligent in keeping the building clean and sanitized according to the PA Department of Health and CDC guidelines. Also, our exterminating company, Enviro Management Group, sanitizes the building twice a month.  We keep up morale for the tenants by putting up inspirational sayings, funny cartoons, cards, making puzzle books with different activities, etc. We even had an art show where the tenants colored pictures and we displayed them. We want to make sure the tenants are healthy and as safe as possible.

Thank you to the great people in the community of Greenville Pennsylvania for being so generous to Greenville House! We appreciate all that is done for us!
