"NORMAN CENTRE 2 REMOLDELING"

Norman Centre 2 Associates recently engaged Crossgates Inc. to begin renovation of the existing storefront facade. This work includes a new cornice and capitals accenting the roof line, new individual channel letter neon tenant signage, and a continuous custom yawning.  Phase 1 construction should be completed in early spring, 2008.

Norman Centre 2 also wants to announce that LS Altman, one of the regional premiere men's and women's clothing shops, will be joining the long list of fine retailers the center.  Grand opening of the new store is scheduled for March 1st.  Continuing their phenomenal growth, Louis Anthony Jewelers is expanding.  In addition to the expanded showroom and beautiful interior improvements, the storefront facade will be enhanced with moldings and new display cases.

K&W Engineers and TecPort Partners Run/Walk Produces Record
Proceeds for Area Charities

K&W Engineers’ Tom Wilson and TecPort Partners, a partnership of Crossgates, Inc. and Computer Aid, Inc., Diane Voda thanked the 63 sponsors and nearly 160 participants for their outstanding efforts.  The number of runners was up 40% over last year with proceeds up more than 30%.  A special appreciation is extended to the Gold sponsors this year; M&T Bank, Energy Association of PA; First National Bank; Harrisburg Mall; Associated Products; Fast Signs; and WHP.

For the second year this Father’s Day weekend family event benefited clients of Gaudenzia, a drug and alcohol treatment center, which has an adolescent facility located adjacent to TecPort Business Center; and residents of the Woodside Family Center, a work release program for incarcerated women located at the Dauphin County Prison.  The two area social service agencies will receive checks of more than $4,000 each.  Wilson and Voda pledged to keep the momentum going forward.  It’s One Hill of a Race and planning is already underway for the June 13, 2009 event” said Wilson.

“Gaudenzia is the leading non-profit provider of drug and alcohol treatment in the Commonwealth.  These monies will help those afflicted with the ravages of drug and alcohol addiction and we appreciate the commitment of K&W and TecPort run/walk volunteers,” says Julie E. Girsch, Gaudenzia Community Affairs Manager.

"The Woodside Family Center was excited to be a part of the second K&W TecPort 5K race and we formally thank everyone involved!  The net proceeds will enable the facility to expand programming and purchase additional furnishings for mothers and children during their visitation stays", says Valerie Simmons Woodside Family Center PROGRAM CEO.

More than 40 volunteers assisted the runners and walkers who participated in the 5K event.  Members of the Harrisburg Area Runners Club provided the timing equipment and guidance to conduct the event.  Door prizes were provided by numerous area businesses and included a weekend package for two from the Hilton Garden Inn at TecPort Business Center, Senators baseball tickets, and much more.
